Light is inherently restless and, as a light impression, thus is photography. I’m drawn to imagery that isn’t burdened with visual conventions. I look for sunspots –for brutal honesty and deliberate imperfections; for an intentional prevalence of a rough see-through quality.
At odds with the praised fraction of a second, my sight is rather fragmentary. Purposely flawed, constantly dissonant. Even the brightest of stars bears dark spots –wears them as scars. All surfaces have an inscribed memory, and yet we’re squinting.

Even the brightest of stars bears dark spots –wears them as scars. All surfaces have an inscribed memory; and yet, we’re squinting. The ground, its sharpness, the burn. The kiss, your touch, the burn. The sun, the tan, the burn. The salt will help you heal, it’ll wash the sand off your skin.

De Quemaduras y Manchas Solares
La naturaleza de la luz es inherentemente inquieta; y, en su condición de impresión de luz, lo es también la fotografía. Me atraen las imágenes que no están cargadas de convenciones visuales. Las manchas solares, la honestidad bruta y las imperfecciones deliberadas; la prevalencia intencional de un carácter crudo y transparente.
En desfasaje con la condición determinante de una temporalidad que se presenta reducida a una fracción de segundo; mi mirada se expone fragmentaria. Deliberadamente defectuosa, constantemente disonante. Incluso la más brillante de las estrellas muestra manchas oscuras, las lleva como cicatrices. Todas las superficies llevan registro de una memoria inscrita; y, aún así, nos resulta inevitable entrecerrar los ojos.

Di Scottature e Macchie Solari
La luce è intrinsecamente irrequieta; e, come impressione di luce, così è la fotografia. Sono attratta da immagini che non sono gravate da convenzioni visive. Cerco le macchie solari, la brutale onestà e le deliberate imperfezioni; il prevalere intenzionale di un carattere crudo e trasparente.
Fuori fase rispetto alla condizione determinante di una temporalità che appare ridotta a una frazione di secondo; il mio sguardo è piuttosto frammentario. Deliberatamente imperfetto, costantemente dissonante. Anche la più brillante delle stelle porta macchie scure, le indossa come cicatrici. Tutte le superfici portano una memoria inscritta; e, anche così, è inevitabile per noi socchiudere gli occhi.
